Application:
Calcium propionate is white crystal or white crystal powder or particle, no odor or microband propionate odor.  Calcium propionate used as food additive is monohydrate salt, stable to water and heat, hygroscopicity, soluble in water, 39.9g/ L 00ml (20ºC), calcium propionate is insoluble in ethanol, ether NBSP; 
Calcium propionate is a new food additive. It is a safe and reliable anti-mildew agent for food and feed approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).  Calcium propionate has a wide range of effects on mold, yeast and so on. 
1. Calcium propionate can be used as a mildew inhibitor for food and feed, and as a preservative for bread and cakes.  Calcium propionate is easy to be mixed with flour evenly. As a preservative, it can provide necessary calcium for human body and play the role of food fortification. 
2. Calcium propionate has inhibitory effect on mold and Bacillus aerobicus, which can cause sticky filament substance in bread, but has no inhibitory effect on yeast. 
3. It is effective against molds, aerogenic spore producing bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, aflatoxin and other substances in starch, protein and oil. It has unique mildew and antiseptic properties. 
 
4. It is a new kind of safe, efficient and broad spectrum anti-mildew agent for food and feed materials in the aspects of food and brewing, feed and traditional Chinese medicine preparations. 
5. Calcium propionate as a feed additive can effectively inhibit mildew of feed and prolong the shelf life of feed. If it is combined with other inorganic salts, it can also improve the appetite of livestock and milk yield of cows.  Calcium propionate has low volatility, high temperature resistance and good animal adaptability. It is suitable for many kinds of feed. 
6. Calcium propionate can also be used as additives in toothpaste and cosmetics, playing a good role in antisepsis. 
7. The invention relates to a new feed additive, which is mainly used as an anti-mildew agent and can prolong the freshness preservation period of feed.  It can inhibit the production of aflatoxin and is harmless to yeasts. It is also harmless to people and animals. It can also be used as a preservative of food
