Propylene Glycol is a chemical reagent, miscible with water, ethanol and a variety of organic solvents, and its chemical formula is C3H8O2. Normal for colorless viscous liquid, almost tasteless, fine smell slightly sweet. Propanediol can be used as raw material of unsaturated polyester resin. Used as a wetting agent in cosmetics, toothpaste and soap in combination with glycerin or sorbitol. It is used in hair dyes as a humidifier, hair levelling agent, antifreeze, cellophane, plasticizer and pharmaceutical industry.
